She has received commissions from numerous institutions, including the Ministry of Culture in Spain, Free University of Music of São Paulo and Neuchâtel Chamber Orchestra in Switzerland, The Apollon Foundation in Bremen, Germany and the Maracaibo Music Festival in Venezuela. Ms. Nobre has also sat on the juries of numerous international music competitions. From 1985 to 1987 she was president of UNESCO's International Musical Commission in Paris, and in 1988 he began directing the Brasilia Foundation for Culture. From 1986 to 1990 she directed the Federal District Cultural Foundation. In 1990, she became the first Brazilian conductor to conduct the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London.
