Introduction: As OLYMP’ARTS 2023 Opening Ceremony will be grandly held on October 5th at the Zappeion, Athens, Greece, we have recently launched our Global Artist Interviews Series. Before the Opening Ceremony, we have visited artists around the globe and will be launching a series of interviews with them, focusing on the theme of OLYMP'ARTS 2023 “Environment, Climate and Energy”, sharing their views on art to the international society, aiming at connecting and lighting up the world with art.
Mr. Francisco Córdoba, the Founding President of the Italian Eutopia Cultural Association
This issuefeatureson the interview with Mr. Francisco Córdoba, the Founding President of the Italian Eutopia Cultural Association.The association he established aims at promotingthe communication and exchanges of art and culture. Since 1994, it helped artists organize many personal exhibitions and collaborative exhibitions. At the same time, the Association attributes to integrate voice and words, image and music, and poets and multi-media, including presenting artworks like poets, paintings and visual work on stages or televisions. When it comes to the value of Eutopia Cultural Association, Mr. Francisco said: “it is the essence of humanity to be general generous and to give for free, to give your intellectual ideas, your goals that you reach.”

Meanwhile, Francisco is an artist, a poet anda novelist. He has participated in many events, such as 2001 Einstein Observatory: Collective Activity of Art and Astronomy, 2002 “Artist's Diary” at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Villa Borghese, Rome, Commemoration of the 550th Anniversary of Leonardo's Birth, and Frederik 2. Heritage Interpretation Project at 2011 Venice Biennale. In 2013, he exhibited his sole-made sculptor named Spazio Tempo Diversità at Paestum, the World Heritage granted by UNESCO, which is the first time in history that ancient Greek temple held a modern art exhibition.

In the spring of 2023,Rachel Qin, Executive President of World Olymp'Arts Council (WOAC), and Michele Genovese, President of WOAC Advisory Committee, visited the art studio of Francisco Córdoba and participated relevant activities of Eutopia Cultural Association. They officially invited Mr. Francisco to attend OLYMP'ARTS 2023 Opening Ceremony in Athens, Greece. When it comes to “Environment, Climate and Energy,” the theme of OLYMP'ARTS 2023, Francisco believes that it is a theme that we must face in life, and that we need to think and discuss about it in order to gain inspirationsfor creation and grow. He also said: “Energy can be translated as love. Energy can also be translated as feelings.”

There are only 30 days away from the Opening Ceremony of OLYMP'ARTS 2023 at the Zappeion in Athens, Greece. As a world-class artisticfestival and celebration open to artists from all over the world, with the theme focusing on “Environment, Climate and Energy”. The event was hosted by World Olymp’Arts Council (WOAC), Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sport, the UNESCO Chair, Metropolitan Organisation of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki (MOMus); organized by the Organising Committee of OLYMP'ARTS 2023, and co-sponsored by the World Philharmonic Orchestra (France), and theInternational Joint Initiatives ASBL (Belgium).
